Deck strategy and tips:
-
OVERVIEW
This deck’s offense is fast and strong with plenty of search and draw abilities. Additionally, it has plenty of negates to back up your banding heroes, as well as protections for your heroes. There’s also plenty of soul generation so you can keep pressing the attack to help you win the game early. -
The defense has several characters that have powerful abilities that can potentially win the battle straight away, and/or search out what you need for the right situation. It also has several powerful enhancements and negates to help you win the battle.
- THE OFFENSE
-
Abraham is a strong character who can search out and band to many of your heroes. Those heroes, in turn, can band to more heroes. Many of these heroes will be protected with cards like Harbingers and/or Melchizedek. But don’t rely too much on your big bands as you don’t want your heroes to be easy targets for strong CBN anti-banding cards, such as Scattered or Scattered Sheep.
-
Jacob’s ability to take a Genesis enhancement from deck can target either a good or evil Genesis enhancement, so if you don’t need a good Enhancement to help you in battle then set your defense up and take one of your several evil Genesis enhancements instead.
-
Similar to Jacob’s ability, Covenant with Noah can target your Genesis human heroes or Genesis evil humans, so maximize its use! You can also attack with Eber who can bounce an artifact. Target Cov. with Noah to bounce so you can use it as a negate during that battle.
-
Use Isaac as either a way topdeck a nuisance evil character in your opponent’s territory, or use his ability as a potential battle winner by banding him into battle with cards like Bless the Nations and Answer to Prayer. Make sure you have one of your two angels in play, however, in order for his ability to work.
-
Jacob’s Ladder is a great way to extend the battle if your opponent removes your last hero in battle. If this happens then a great combo is to exchange Three Visitors with one of your patriarchs. If you target Judah, he can potentially negate the card that caused your hero(es) to be defeated, which will then bring those heroes back into battle.
-
Offering Your Son is a great way to get out any of your artifacts, covenants and curse, which this deck has plenty of! It can also be used as a battle winner if your opponent is using an animal to block.
-
THE DEFENSE
-
Commander Phicol is a great way to win the battle straight away as he can equip any of the weapons in the reserve to him or to someone else. If their equipped to him, and their the kind that target a hero for removal, you can immediately use it try and win the battle.
-
Similar to Phicol, Basemath’s and Lot’s Daughters’ ability can potentially win the battle with their respective bounce and take ability. Consider banding them into battle as a way to win the battle, instead of just using them to block right away.
-
Philistine Armor Bearer (PAB) is a powerful evil character as he can exchange for any of your Philistines in deck or reserve, or he can equip or take the two weapons that are in the reserve.
-
Like PAB, Canaan the Cursed can pull your Canaanites from deck. PAB and Canaan definitely speed up the defense!
- Use cards like Joseph’s Silver Cup, Pillar of Salt, and Forbidden Fruit to snag any defensive card to help you get what you need to block your opponent’s rescue attempt. Those cards can also be used to snag any good enhancement you may need for your attacks.
