Redemption History

REDEMPTION CCG, as well as its publishing company Cactus Game Design, were created by Rob Anderson in 1995. Rob grew up with a special appreciation for family and games, and thus became a game designer and marketer. After Magic the Gathering was created in 1993, he was intrigued by the dynamics of a collectible trading card game. However, he desired to create a game based on the Bible in order for it to be family-friendly and spiritually beneficial for its players.
The rest, as they say, is history! To date, Redemption CCG is the 2nd-longest running collectible trading card game (after Magic), with over 3000 tournament-legal cards in print. The August 2018 Redemption National Tournament in Tomball, Texas is the 24th annual event! The following table chronicles the history of the game's development, year-by-year.
